Gord Clements
I am a Canadian and more than anything I enjoy painting and creating. I am a self taught artist and over the years I have showed my art in Canada first starting in the Kawartha Arts Festival in Fenelon Falls Ontario. Wherever I go I take my brush and pencils. I have just completed a two year volunteering term in Eastern Nepal working with a Nepal organization where I assisted them in developing their capacity to address HIV AIDS and related problems. It was an opportunity for me to do lots of painting on site in Nepal as well. I have recently married to a German woman whom I met in Nepal and and I am now living in Germany with Iris. Nature, photography and trekking are also passions of both Iris and I. We find the trekking, traveling and volunteering that we are regularly involved with to be a wonderful inspiration in painting and photographing.
My intention in creating a web site is to attempt to utilize it in as an authentic way as possible. My love for painting is a heartfelt expression and it is inseparable from who I am. Through my postings I also hope to use the blog aspect to express my experience of the connection between meditation, art and life. I am selling my paintings here as well for those that are interested with the intention of keeping the price affordable to the general public. Fifteen percentage of the profit from each painting will be put towards a selected Nepal NGO organization that assists children in Nepal.
